Now That’s a Wrap!

By Hampton Freeman

At Sack Lunch Agency, no job is too large for us to tackle!  That mantra was definitely put to the test when our clients at Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services asked us to design and wrap their brand new 30-passenger bus.  This bus was procured to transport seniors needing help getting to and from the Shirly & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center, which gives seniors an opportunity to socialize and exercise; a truly benevolent asset to our community. It was a unique challenge to design their 32-foot bus, but we were up to the challenge!

If you’ve never considered doing a vehicle wrap for your company’s delivery vehicle, you should know that they can be great mobile advertisements that can quite literally deliver your message anywhere!  Flashy and bold, and with their only other competition being bumper stickers, they stand out wherever they go in traffic.  Durable to weather and heat, these vinyl wraps will still look great 3-5 years later. A good vinyl job won’t damage your vehicle’s paint, and they can be replaced or repaired should accidents scratch the vinyl.  Best of all, virtually anything can be wrapped, from delivery cars to giant fleet vehicles!  We use the highest quality vinyl wraps on the vehicle’s body, and special perforated vinyl on all windows, allowing not only for striking full-body coverage but also the ability to see outside through the windows!

However, when designing vehicle wraps, there are many challenges to overcome.  For our work with Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, we helped them reduce the amount of copy on their bus.  It’s important to remember that viewers may only have a second or two to read the bus as it drives by, so the most important content should be quickly readable, and legibility is crucial!

As for the images, we’ll let you judge the quality of the work we did on them. But, suffice it to say, we are ecstatic with how they turned out.  These images were chosen to look great, even when blown up on the side of this massive bus!  Give it another look and you’ll also notice how careful we were with people’s faces, lettering, and other important details of the wrap.  It is important to make sure no important details fall along the cracks in the windows or seams of the bus.  From far away, you’ll never notice the seams in a large image, but smaller details can look funny if care isn’t taken with them.

At Sack Lunch, nothing makes us prouder than seeing our work in the wild.  We’re excited to see Ruth and Norman Rales’ new bus driving around town, helping our community and brightening spirits all across Delray!
